Diablo 4 Season 2 update is not only surprisingly fun, but it also significantly increases the overall power level of nearly every class in the game. Of course, even the healthiest updates can still result in broken builds.
Rogue Build – Poison Twisting Blades
Skills: Shadow Step, Dash, Puncture, Poison Trap, Poison Imbument, Twisting Blades
Diablo 4 Unique Items and Key Legendary Aspects: Aspect of Corruption, Aspect of Pestilent Points, Aspect of Bursting Venoms, Bladedancer’s Aspect, X’Fal’s Corroded Signet
One day, Blizzard will need to not just nerf, but fundamentally reimagine Twisted Blade. Until that day comes, some version of Twisting Blades Rogue will almost certainly climb to the top of the meta. At least that’s the case when the Diablo 4 Season 2 update is released.
The strategy for this build is pretty much the same as before. Use Impale and Diablo 4 gold to leave your enemies in a near-permanent vulnerable state, use evasive moves to dance around them, and use the spinning blade to deal massive single-target and area-of-effect damage. The gear and abilities you’ll use help ensure that Twisted Blade maintains near-constant AoE uptime.
The biggest twist in Season 2 is that Poison Infusion is generally more powerful than that version’s Deathtrap and Shadow Infusion versions. In the past, these builds have been praised for their “safety” and high “AoE” damage potential. To be fair, both variants are not only still viable, but are among the best in Diablo 4 regardless of level.
This time around, however, boosting Poison Infusion is a new unique item called the X’Fal Corruption Symbol. This ring turns your damage-over-time effect into a massive damage bomb that affects any nearby enemies. Essentially, it turns your incredibly powerful single-target capability into a nuclear weapon. Of course, you can also equip the appropriate Diablo 4 Items to become more powerful.
On top of that, not only do we have global buffs that deal damage over time like the poison we received in the last update, but we also have vampiric abilities that further enhance the poison’s damage effects. Put them together, and you have a build that has melted down some of the toughest bosses in the game, and is now capable of doing the same against a bunch of weaker enemies in Nightmare Dungeons. Oh, and did I mention this version almost never runs out of resources and is surprisingly clunky?
Sorcerer Build – Infinite Ball Lightning
Skills: Unstable Currents, Frost Nova, Teleport, Arc Lash, Flame Shield, Lightning Spear
Unique Items and Key Legendary Aspects: Raiment of the Infinite, Esadora’s Overflowing Cameo, Aspect of Overwhelming Currents, Flickerstep, Gravitational Aspect.
Over the past few updates, Sorcerer fans have been hard at work perfecting the Unstable Electricity build. The basic idea is that the cooldown reduction feature for unstable current should allow you to reduce its cooldown to essentially zero so that you can maintain constant uptime. That’s a pretty big deal considering that when Unstable Current is activated, you’re essentially an invincible storm of lightning and death.
While versions of this version have worked in the past, some major additions in Season 2 transformed it from a novelty into arguably the most powerful version in Diablo 4.
Two important parts of this build are Gravitational Aspect and Flickerstep. The gravity aspect not only increases the damage of our ball lightning abilities, but also makes them spin around you and continually attack enemies. With the upgrades you’re about to make, Ball Lightning Strike has a high chance of producing explosive energy. When Explosive Energy hits an enemy, it reduces the cooldown of Unstable Electricity, which, it must be said, also creates an additional Ball Lightning effect. This is the heart of the engine and allows you to maintain an unstable current almost 100% of the time. You can also equip some appropriate Dibalo 4 Items to strengthen your build.
However, Flickerstep ended up being a surprisingly powerful addition to this strategy. It allows us to further reduce the ultimate cooldown by avoiding enemies, which is usually easy to do with other abilities we’re using (most notably, teleportation). This item does give you the cooldown reduction consistency that previous versions of this version lacked. I’ve even seen some builds of this running Flickerstep instead of the critical passive that helps reduce the cooldown of Unstable Current. Ultimately (pun intended), I think it’s best to aim for overkill in this situation.
Honestly, some of the new vampire abilities seem custom-made to support this version. They further reduce your cooldown (something a wizard can never get enough of) and greatly increase your movement and attack speed (which feeds into the archetype’s main strategy).
Again, the beauty of this build is that it basically runs automatically. Once you’ve assembled the main pieces (admittedly, this can take a while), you just have to move around or teleport while constantly summoning lightning effects and enjoying the defensive advantage of obstacles that never seem to collapse. As long as you keep firing arc whip attacks to keep your engines running, and use your defensive abilities when appropriate/possible, you’ll keep filling the area around you with deadly projectiles that can even melt the final Game boss.
Necromancer Build – Infinimist
Skills: Corpse Tendrils, Corpse Explosion, Bone Storm, Blood Mist, Decrepify, Reap
Unique Items and Key Legendary Aspects: Blighted Aspect, Aspect of Decay, Aspect of Explosive Mist, Blood-soaked Aspect, Aspect of Ultimate Shadow, Howl From Below
The “InfiniMist” Necromancer is one of the most unique, powerful, and enjoyable new versions of Season 2’s many additions and changes.
Previously, Blood Mist was largely just an immune movement ability that could keep the Necromancer out of danger. Some people tried to try various ways to gain the ability to do massive damage through various exploits, but it never seemed to reach the level needed to go beyond the gimmick level.
Well, it’s much more than that now. Like many of the other best builds in the Diablo 4 Season 2 update, the Infinimist is really all about summoning tons of damage while never slowing down. The basic idea is to spawn a corpse, use the corpse tendrils to pull the enemy in, and then cast Decripfy. From there, you enter the Blood Mist. While in the blood mist, you are immune, dealing a surprising amount of base damage, and triggering corpse explosions, which often trigger a more powerful explosion. Oh, and did I mention that Bonestorm is almost always spinning around you, dealing bonus damage, giving you damage modifiers, and keeping you alive? I should.
The beauty of this build is that almost everything synergizes with Blood Mist, and how easy it is to reduce the cooldown of Blood Mist to almost zero. Do you remember what it was like to spam Zombie Blast in beta before it was nerfed, and ask yourself how anyone thought that ability was balanced? Okay, now imagine being able to automatically trigger a corpse explosion of that power while being invincible and never slowed down.
But what’s interesting is that it’s actually the shape-shifting vampire power that secretly contributes to the building’s “broken” state. See, this ability allows you to turn into a swarm of bats while you’re hiding from enemies. While this brings various offensive and defensive advantages, it also “parks” your active Bonestorm effect. However, because the game thinks your Bonestorm is no longer up, it gives you an additional Bonestorm effect. This means you can actually have multiple Bone Storms; one surrounding you and one spinning nearby, dealing damage to enemies. If it were an innate ability, every Necromancer would use it.
Of course, it is very difficult to complete a powerful endgame build, and the stronger the items you equip, the stronger the build will be. Of course, it would be better if you have suitable Unique Items. But these will cost you a lot of time and gold. I can recommend you a very good diablo 4 game service provider, they sell all boss sets, like Duriel mats, Varshan mats. They also sell gold and many max roll items, And they can also help you get Unique Items you want through Diablo 4 Boosting.
